ANALOG MARKETING: Make a flyer for your world with Sky Fusco
Join me for a 2-hour workshop where you’ll dive into creating old-school flyers and consider how to share your message without needing to rely on social media, a big following, or “logging in.” Get back to basics with simple, hands-on techniques, and create something real—offline and in the world.
Sunday August 17th from 10 AM to 12 PM PST.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drawing inspiration from old-school punk flyers, you will design and create a tangible flyer that gets your message out into the real world—no algorithms required. Whether you’re promoting a project, a show, or simply a personal statement, you will cut, paste, and collage something that speaks to you and your community.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Leaving the internet behind: Consider how to promote yourself, your ideas, or your work without needing to plug into an online audience or platform.
Overcoming fear: Envision putting something out there, even if in-person exposure feels weird, vulnerable, or futile.
Flyer Placement & Impact: Brainstorm ways to distribute your flyer—offline, face-to-face, or wherever you happen to be.
MATERIALS TO BRING
Keep it simple: pens, markers, paint, scissors, glue, tape, collage materials, and 8.5” x 11” paper.
You can use digital tools if that’s what you prefer (i.e. Procreate, Canva, Photoshop), but the focus will be on analog methods—creating something physical with your hands that you can photocopy and share directly with others.
To join the online class, all you need is a phone or a computer, a comfortable setting, and yourself. Come and go as you please. Cameras can be on or off.
All participants will receive one email from me on Saturday August 16th with a Zoom link and passcode.
ANALOG MARKETING sign ups are final sale and nonrefundable.
